Providence Place Assisted Living Center in Woodward, OK has 48 geothermal heating and cooling units that are 2-1/2 to 5 tons each. In addition to conditioning the common areas and apartments, geothermal is also used to run the refrigerator and freezer.
This picture shows some of the "tails" sticking out of holes that the loops have already been put down. These holes were drilled at 185 feet deep. The wells are located on all four sides of the building and are now covered by the parking lots & drive ways. |

On a cold day during the
winter of 2006, Ray was
drilling part of the 146 bores
for the geothermal ground
loop.

& Ice installed the

Cooling System during
construction.

Village. So far the first,
second and third floors
have been completed and
are all conditioned with
Geothermal systems. The
fourth and fifth floors are
scheduled to begin
construction soon and will
also be conditioned with
Geothermal systems.

This amazing view is in
the atrium that was built to
enclose the area between
the old building and the
new building. Again,
Geothermal systems
keep the area comfortable
year round. You can see
the exposed ductwork
painted in blue near the
skylight. The guys
installing that duct on the
skylift had to be brave
going up 5 stories!!

building with Geothermal
as well.
